The AI image and illustration generation tools

Tags:

Midjourney is an AI image generation tool developed by the artificial intelligence research lab Midjourney, Inc. It can generate images based on text prompts. The program entered public beta on July 12, 2022. Users can operate it via Discord bot commands to create images in various styles. The official domestic Chinese version is called Youchuan.

Similar to OpenAI’s DALL·E and Stability AI’s Stable Diffusion, this AI drawing tool can create corresponding images based on the text provided by the user in about a minute. The difference is that Midjourney currently requires the use of the Discord community for AI image generation.

Main Features of Midjourney:

  1. Text-to-Image Generation: Use the /imagine command in Discord and input text prompts to generate images that match the description.
  2. Image Blending and Creative Overlay: Use the /blend command to merge multiple images to create new images with a fused style, inspiring unique creativity.
  3. Image Expansion and Pan: Midjourney supports panning images in four directions (up, down, left, right) to expand the content and zoom out to adjust the main subject.
  4. High-Resolution Image Enlargement: Midjourney generates images at 1024*1024 pixels by default and supports enlarging images up to 4 times.

Midjourney’s Pricing:

Midjourney currently offers four subscription levels, with a 20% discount for annual payments. Each subscription plan includes access to the Midjourney member gallery, official Discord, and general commercial use.

  1. Basic Plan: $10 per month (annual payment $96)
  2. Standard Plan: $30 per month (annual payment $288)
  3. Pro Plan: $60 per month (annual payment $576)
  4. Mega Plan: $120 per month (annual payment $1152)
